Frequently Asked Questions

I feel unfit and uncoordinated, am I going to be ok to start?

Absolutely, ‘all bodies welcome’ is what we’re about! Our courses and classes are designed to get you where you’d like to be with your fitness, and teach you how to dance and improve your coordination. You don't need any experience to join our courses and classes, just a willingness to start and we'll provide the rest!

Can I try a class before committing to a Membership?

Definitely. Before you start a membership, we recommend you book a trial class. Its a great way to get a taste of what our classes are like and what's involved. We also sell Casual Class Packs if you’re after something more casual.

Can I take more than one class per term?

Absolutely! We encourage our students to spend as much time on their chosen apparatus as possible to reach your fitness & skill goals faster. Our memberships give you 100% flexibility over your classes. This means you can attend any class, any day, at any time. Check out our Pricing page for further information.

How do I purchase my classes?

You can do this:

  1. Online and/or via our MOBILE APP on ANDROID or IOS

  2. Drop us a line hello@bodyspacestudios.com

When can I book into my classes?

As soon as you have purchased your Membership or a Class Pack, you can start booking into your classes. Please note, our timetable has a 14 day viewing window so you can book classes at a maximum of 14 days ahead of time for the duration of your membership, or until all your class credits have been used up.

I can’t make one of my classes, what happens?

You can cancel your class within 12 hours of the class time and you will receive your class credit back. You will then have 2 days to re-allocate that credit to another class before it expires.

If you cancel a class outside the 12 hour cancellation window, you can still manually remove yourself from the class however you will still lose that class credit.

Do I get a Strike if I forget to cancel?

If you do not show up to a class, you will be marked off as a no-show, lose that class credit and will be given a strike. If you exceed 3 strikes, you will be restricted from booking any more classes and you will need to contact us to unlock your account.

For more information, visit our Terms & Conditions page.

I’ve done Pole or Aerials before, but never at BodySpace Studios. How do I know which level I will be in?

Please contact the studio, and our friendly team will point you in the right direction. We can also schedule a free grading session for you which is a 15 minute meeting with one of our instructors, where you will be asked to demonstrate your skills. Our instructor will be able to tell you which level you should book into.

What do I wear for Pole, Barre, Choreo & Flex classes? Are heels compulsory?

POLE & DANCE - Heels are not compulsory in our pole courses or dance classes, but we highly recommend them! If you decide to wear heels, they do not need to be our pole dancing stilettos. Any heel that makes you feel confident is perfect!

Don’t forget your mat, sweat towel and kneepads, our choreo classes will have you getting low, close and personal to the floor.

BARRE & FLEX - Please bring leggings, a sweat towel and a mat. Grip socks are ideal for Barre.

Forget your mat, kneepads or grip socks? Don’t worry, you can purchase these at reception.

What is the difference between Static & Spin Pole?

You may have noticed some poles are static, while other poles spin. Our poles can be adjusted between the two depending on the class and your preference. Static poles are fixed and don't move, whereas spin poles pivot around themselves, providing a great 360 degree view of any trick! Static pole requires you to create momentum to spin around it, and spin pole requires a more control to ensure the pole doesn’t spin too fast! If you’re brand new to pole dancing, try both static and spin to see what you like best! If you are unsure, haven’t done fitness for a while, or get dizzy easily, static pole can be a good place to start.

Will I have to share my pole?

No. For health, safety and to give you the best experience possible, we have a strict 1 student per apparatus policy. This is a time for you, your learning and your training.
